It’s time again to recognize our fans and followers this week who shared their opinions, insight and some willingly offered up their facepalm moments at work, like our first comment from Never Too Late on Facebook:
1. ![]() I think we’ve all had moments like this at work. Someone else mentioned bad-mouthing a boss and accidentally sending it TO the boss, which promptly got her fired. Needless to say – instead of trying to verbalize your anger, talk a walk outside of the building for a few minutes. 2. ![]() EdgeLink Sherry wrote in on our post about personality types and how they fit certain careers and made the excellent point that sometimes happiness trumps money when it comes to jobs. So if you’re in a career you hate, it’s up to you to figure out what it is you want and what makes you happy and then start to discover what jobs may fit that. 3. ![]() And Sherry’s comment leads perfectly to FuryousGrants, who we chatted with briefly this week. She’s out to help her friends find jobs – who wouldn’t want a friend like that? I loved her comment that ‘undecided’ may be a great option as a college major, but it doesn’t pan out too hot as a career path. Guidance counselors everywhere please start using this piece of advice with students, whether in high school or post secondary education. 4. ![]() Lulu gave us a shout out and we’re happy to help her (and you) do a little bit of the work in helping you connect with employers to find your dream job. When was the last time you updated your CareerBuilder profile or resume? You should log in and take a look and update with any experience or new skills you may have acquired through a job, volunteering, schooling, etc. 5. ![]() We wanted also to thank Ashley for letting us know that our article on improving your elevator pitch helped her prepare for her recent interview. Good luck, Ashley, and keep us in the loop when you get the job! Bonus Always up for a good laugh, Gayle chimed in on our misspelling pet peeves and I do think when I read it, I guffawed. ![]() Join us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter and join in on the conversation and who knows, you may make it into the top 5 comments of the week.
